Arrival

From the centre of Lautiosaari, about 17 km along the Kivalontie towards Lake Sompujärvi.

Or

From Sompujärvi, turn off Alaniementi onto Kivalontie and continue for about 21.5 km towards Lautiosaari.

Note: For the map application, you should choose Kivalontie 1685 or The Soundforest as the applications often show the number 1650 200 m too early.

Turn at the sign 1650 and The Soundforest and drive about 400 m. You can park your car in our yard (brown house). We will meet you in the yard at the agreed time, from where we continue walking along a well-maintained forest road for about 500 m. Please note that the forest road is not wheelchair accessible.

You can also reach the forest along the Kivalo hiking trail. One of the parking places on the trail that connects to the hiking trail is a few hundred metres from the junction of our yard towards Sompujärvi. If you want to come to The Soundforest along the hiking trail, you can park your car in the parking lot of the hiking trail at Kivalontie 1690. More information about the trail www.retkikartta.fi or www.martimoaapa.com. There is no winter maintenance on the hiking trail or its parking lot.
